Peter Davies

Peter Davies has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Peter started their career as a Formulation Scientist at Biorex Labs LLC in 1982. Peter then joined Roche in 1983 and served as the Head of Formulation and Drug Delivery Sciences. In this role, they led a team responsible for the development of early-stage drug candidates. After working at Roche for nearly two decades, they joined Shire in 2001 as a Pharmaceutical Sciences Director. At Shire, their responsibilities included CMO selection, API synthesis, analytical development, and regulatory expertise. Peter also had fiscal responsibilities, leadership of CMOs, and accountability for ensuring GMP compliance. In 2018, they became a Partner and Co-Owner of Waterside Pharma Consultancy. Currently, they are the Director of Product Development at Summit Therapeutics.

Peter Davies earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Wales between 1978 and 1981. Peter later pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design at the University of London from 1987 to 1993.
