MQ Malik has a diverse work experience, starting with a role as an order taker at Fuschia Kitchen from March 2017 to August 2017. Following this, they completed an internship at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa from September 2017 to September 2018. MQ then became a business owner and worked for himself from July 2018 onwards. MQ'smost recent role is as the Head Waiter at Sumo Sushi & Bento, which they started in June 2021.

MQ Malik attended COTHM College Lahore from 2015 to 2017, where they obtained a graduate degree in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management. During the same period, they also attended College of tourism and hotel management, where they obtained a GDHM degree with a focus on Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management.
