Katrin Polkh

Katrin Polkh is a data scientist currently working at SumUp since 2023, after concluding a role as part of the Marketplace Data Science team at trivago from 2019 to 2023. At trivago, Katrin developed exposure algorithms, enhanced production data pipelines, and contributed to custom analyses and insights. Prior to this, they held research assistant positions at the Galaxy Bioinformatics Lab and the Autonomous Intelligent Systems Lab, where they worked on training materials and traffic light recognition projects, respectively. Katrin also served as teaching staff at the University of Freiburg, where they taught practical classes for both bachelor and master students. They are pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau.
