Povilas Jurkūnas

Povilas Jurkūnas is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and team leadership. Currently serving as an Engineering Manager at SumUp since February 2023, Povilas previously held positions at Danske Bank as Cloud Chapter Lead and Lead Software Engineer, focusing on high availability solutions for online banking channels. With a background in technology leadership at Macaw and Barclays, Povilas has successfully managed teams, implemented Agile methodologies, and conducted numerous candidate interviews. Early career roles included diverse rotations during the Future Leaders Development Programme at Barclays, where skills in mobile development, business analysis, and software engineering were honed. Povilas holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from Vilnius University.
