Saurabh Birari

Saurabh Birari is a Senior Data Scientist at SumUp, having joined in July 2023, and previously served as a Machine Learning Engineer at Amazon from March 2020 to July 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a Research Programmer at the Information Sciences Institute, where Saurabh contributed to the Synergistic Anticipation of Geopolitical Events (SAGE) project under IARPA. Saurabh's research background encompasses building a dataset for soccer player transfers and developing predictive modeling algorithms, as well as working on topic modeling projects and creating front-end applications. Saurabh also gained industry experience through internships at Persistent Systems and iknowlation Research Labs, focusing on applications that integrate machine learning with IoT and data visualization. Saurabh holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from Pune Institute of Computer Technology.
