Vira Shendryk

Vira Shendryk has a diverse work experience. Vira is currently the Head of the Information Technology Department at Sumy State University, where they also previously served as the Deputy Head of the Computer Science Department and Associate Professor. Vira'sresearch interests include computation aided design, optimization methods, and web technologies. Vira has also worked as a Senior Lecturer at Sumy State University and a Teaching Assistant at McMaster University. Additionally, they have held visiting professor positions at Riga Technical University and Malmo University. Vira has experience in educational program management and public relations as the Education Program & PR Manager at AMC Bridge LLC. Prior to their academic career, they worked as an Engineer at Joint-Stock Company "NPO Sumy Frunze".

Vira Shendryk holds a Master of Cyber Safety degree from the European University (2019-2021). Vira also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Computer Science at Zhukovskii National Aeronautical University in Kharkov, Ukraine (2008-2009). Additionally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Hydraulic Machinery and Hydro-Pneumatic Aggregates from Sumy State University in Sumy, Ukraine (1998-2001). Vira also earned an M.Sc. degree in Hydraulic Machinery and Hydro-Pneumatic Automation, with Distinction, from Sumy State University (1993-1998).
