Matthew Kerwin

Matthew Kerwin is an experienced Underwriting Manager with a solid background in the mortgage industry spanning from 2003 to the present. Currently at Sun American Mortgage Company since February 2019, Matthew oversees underwriters and closers, ensuring compliance and timely closings while managing performance and motivating staff. Previously, Matthew held the Underwriting Manager position at Academy Mortgage Corporation for nearly a decade, where responsibilities included staff recruitment and training. Earlier career experience includes underwriting mortgage loans at Amerifirst Financial and managing operations at Great Southwest Mortgage.
