John Nimmo

John Nimmo has an extensive career in the chemical industry, primarily with Sun Chemical from July 1995 until retirement, where key roles included Vice President of Quality and Business Improvement for Europe and Vice President of Colors Technology. Nimmo was instrumental in establishing a new Quality organization and implementing quality initiatives and standards while also leading the global R&D department for colorants. Prior roles included serving as SAP Programme Director for Europe and Global Change Management Leader, where significant advancements were made in the SAP platform's implementation. Prior to Sun Chemical, Nimmo worked at Coates Lorilleux as Colour Science Manager and at Ciba as a Principal Scientist, focusing on organic pigments and dispersion technologies. Earlier experience included leadership at Johnson Matthey. Nimmo holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde.
