Carolyn Ling

Carolyn Ling is an accomplished finance and tax professional currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Global Head of Tax at Sun Life since August 2025, where responsibilities include developing and executing the company’s long-term global tax strategy. Prior to this role, Carolyn held the positions of Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at ivari and Sagicor North America for a brief period in 2025, and was the Chief Financial Officer at ivari Canada from January 2020 to August 2025, overseeing core finance functions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Carolyn's extensive experience includes significant leadership roles at Manulife, where responsibilities spanned from global finance transformation to tax operations across Asia. Carolyn began her career at Deloitte and Aviva Canada, culminating in nearly two decades of expertise in finance, tax planning, and corporate governance, supported by a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Waterloo.
