Tom Walsh

Tom Walsh is an experienced IT professional currently serving as Assistant Vice President of IT Architecture at Sun Life since October 2022. Previously, Tom held the position of Head of Application Architecture at MassMutual from November 2019 to October 2022 and served as Director of IT Architecture at Sun Life Financial from August 2005 to November 2019, where leadership of a team of application architects was a key responsibility. Earlier career roles included Software Development Manager at Headway Software, Lead Software Engineer at CardBASE Technologies, and Senior Software Engineer positions at Digital Equipment Corporation and Apple Computer. Tom began the career as an Electronic Engineer at Moog Inc. and Boru Electronics. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Applied Computing, a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computing, and a Diploma in Microprocessor Electronics, all obtained from the Waterford Institute of Technology.
