However, in 2014, he widened his horizons with Sun Petrochemicals in Mumbai and expanded into the upstream hydrocarbon business to help enhance India's energy security. SunPetro is currently managing four Oil & Gas producing fields in the Cambay basin of Gujarat. Furthermore, in 2022, SunPetro was awarded five more fields, three of which are exploratory fields granted in the OALP VI and VII rounds, and the other two are discovered fields given in the DSF Round III. The Sun Petrochemicals’ team has extensive knowledge of all E&P activities, from Reservoir to Custody Transfer (R to C) and Concept to Commissioning (C to C), which allows them to manage a variety of onshore/offshore, conventional, and unconventional oil/gas fields, including deepwater development and operations.
