Siu Yao

Siu Yao has a long and extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Siu began their career at Merck in 1997, where they served as an Associate Director and later a Director until 2002. Siu then joined Sanofi as a Senior Director, before moving to the Schering-Plough Research Institute where they held the position of Senior Director / Executive Director from 2005 to 2009. Siu Yao then returned to Merck as an Executive Director in the Oncology department, where they worked until 2014. In 2014, they joined Sun Pharma as a Senior Vice President, overseeing Clinical Development and Clinical Operations. Additionally, Siu Yao has also worked as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine, Oncology at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey since 2002.

Siu Yao completed a Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania from 1982 to 1986. From 1986 to 1990, Siu Yao earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Yale University School of Medicine. Following this, from 1990 to 1993, Siu Yao participated in the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. Finally, from 1993 to 1997, Siu Yao pursued Fellowships in Oncology & Hematology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.
