Juan Ortega

Juan Ortega is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in editorial leadership. Currently serving as Metro Editor and Content Director at Sun Sentinel Media Group since October 2021, Juan previously held multiple roles at the same organization, including Assistant News Editor, Palm Beach County Editor, and Breaking News Editor, from February 2013 to June 2021. Additionally, Juan contributed as Deputy Editor at NBC 6 South Florida for a brief period in 2012-2013 and worked in the Media Division of the Board of County Commissioners for Miami-Dade County in 2021. Juan holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of Florida, earned between 1998 and 2002.
