Scott Travis

Scott Travis is a Senior Journalist at Sun-Sentinel, recognized for their over 30 years of experience in journalism, with a primary focus on education reporting. As a lead reporter on the Parkland school shooting coverage, Scott contributed to the team's 2019 Gold Medal Pulitzer Prize for Public Service. They have received accolades, including being named journalist of the year by two state journalism organizations in 2023. Previous roles include reporter/editor at The Fayetteville Observer and education reporter at Sun Sentinel Media Group, where they tackled a range of issues, from crime to higher education.
