Darlene Acosta serves as the So Co Prevention Program Manager at Sun Street Centers since January 2010, focusing on substance abuse and parenting education while collaborating with school districts, law enforcement, and communities in South County. Prior to this role, Darlene worked as the South County Prevention Coordinator, engaging with city councils and police departments to promote environmental awareness and teaching parenting classes for at-risk youth. In addition, Darlene is a Commissioner for the Domestic Violence County Council of Monterey County, representing District Three, and previously held the position of Director at the South County Crisis Center from June 2008 to October 2009. Darlene holds an Associate of Science in Behavioral Sciences from Hartnell College and a Bachelor of Social Work from San Jose State University.
