John Townsend

John Townsend is an experienced professional with a diverse background in project development, facility management, and marine operations. Currently serving as Associate Director of Project Development at Sun Tribe since February 2020, John also held roles as Senior Project Developer and Project Developer, focusing on clean energy solutions. John's prior experience includes positions at CrossFit Charlottesville as an L1 Trainer and at The Building Management Company as Facility and Service Manager. John also contributed as Property Manager at Baird Snyder Inc, overseeing custom home projects, and as Captain and Manager at Sunfari Experiences in the US Virgin Islands. Earlier roles include Captain and First Mate at New Horizons and Breakaway Charters and Project Engineer/Project Manager at Westover Controls Corporation in Colorado. John's academic foundation was established with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Clemson University.
