Sun Valley Community Church
Brett Humphrey is a seasoned pastoral leader with extensive experience in children's ministry and education. Currently serving as the Next Steps Pastor for the South Gilbert Campus of Sun Valley Community Church since December 2020, Brett has been a Gilbert Campus Pastor at the same church since 2011, overseeing ministry for attenders and staff. Brett's background includes a role as Children's Ministry Pastor at Sun Valley Community Church, managing programs for children from birth through fourth grade. Previously, Brett served as Executive Pastor for Children's Ministries at Southwest Community Church, where a growing ministry engaged over 600 children weekly, and as Associate Pastor of Elementary Ministries. Additionally, Brett has a solid foundation in education, having taught in various capacities within the San Bernardino City Unified School District and at Desert Christian High School. Brett holds a Master's Degree in Education Administration from Azusa Pacific University, a Teaching Credential in Elementary Education from California State University-San Bernardino, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Westmont College.

Sun Valley first opened its doors in 1990 with a heart to reach people in Arizona who nobody was reaching with the good news that God loves us and that Jesus has provided the way for us to be restored in a relationship with Him. That is still who we are today. We are one church that meets in multiple locations across Arizona as well as online with the mission of "Helping People Meet, Know, and Follow Jesus." We believe that we are just getting started and the best is yet to come as we work together to help fulfill the mission that Jesus has given us.
