Brandon James, CISSP

Brandon James, a CISSP, has over 17 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. Brandon started their career in 2003 as a Senior System Administrator at ITT Industries and later worked at BAE Systems, Inc. as a Principle System Administrator/Architect. Brandon then worked at TexelTek, Inc. as a Principle System Architect/ SIA Team Lead before joining Enlighten IT Consulting in 2013 as a Sr. Cloud Engineer. Brandon was responsible for all things Cloud and Linux related. Brandon also managed technical teams and developed in Ruby. In 2014, they worked briefly as a Senior Principle Research Engineer at Apogee Research, LLC. Later the same year, they founded SUNAYU LLC where they serve as CEO and Founding Member.

Brandon James, CISSP, earned their Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science from Hampton University in 2002. Brandon later obtained their Master's degree in Computer Information Systems/Security from The Johns Hopkins University in 2008. In 2010, they obtained two certifications in security from CompTIA - CompTIA Security and CompTIA Security+ (2008 edition). Brandon also holds a CISSP certification from (ISC)² and has additional certifications in Hadoop, RHCSA, and Salt Stack.
