Paul started their career at Hargreaves Clearwaste in 1985 as a Trainee Transport Manager, where they gained experience in managing waste logistics. In 1988, they transitioned to the financial services sector, working as a Financial Consultant for General Portfolio. In this role, they focused on networking and targeting individuals with higher incomes.

In 1990, Paul joined Eve Trakway, initially working as a Field Engineer and Key Account Manager. Over the years, they took on various roles within the company, including Sales Manager - Energy and Transmission Sector Manager. Their responsibilities included expanding the company's influence in the transmission sector. Their tenure at Eve Trakway lasted until 2014.
