Michael MacKinnon, CA, MPAcc, is a seasoned professional in the fields of accounting and supply chain management, currently serving as the Director of the Office of the CIO in Digital & Information Technology at Suncor since November 2012. With extensive leadership experience in IT strategy and vendor management, Michael has previously held roles directing vendor relations and managing supply chain teams focused on procurement and contract negotiations. Prior to joining Suncor, Michael worked at KPMG in Canada, progressing from Staff Accountant to Manager in Tax. Michael holds a Master's degree in Professional Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan, a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Dalhousie University, and is a Chartered Accountant in Alberta. Additionally, Michael has completed advanced taxation studies and training in logistics and supply chain management.
