Sylvie Tran

Sylvie Tran is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operational risk management, environment, health and safety, and engineering within the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as Vice President of Operational Risk Management, Vice President of Environment, Health and Safety, and Vice President of Engineering - Exploration & Production at Suncor since July 2019, Sylvie has a proven track record of leadership in significant projects and asset management. Prior experience includes serving as Asset Manager for Joint Ventures at Shell, where notable projects involved a $1 billion initiative for the Coulomb Phase II project, along with positions such as General Manager of Safety, Environment, and Regulatory Affairs in the Offshore Gulf of Mexico. With foundational roles at BHP Billiton and other companies, Sylvie has built a diverse skill set beginning from 1995. Sylvie holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University.
