Tom McWilliams

Tom McWilliams is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in environmental health and safety (EHS) and operational excellence. Currently serving as the Director of Management System Process Tools & Reporting at Suncor since October 2013, Tom focuses on implementing and maintaining tools within the Operational Excellence Management System, driving performance improvement through effective reporting. Prior roles at Suncor include Director positions in Operational Risk Tech, EHS Strategy, and EHS Projects, as well as an EHS Lead role in the Offshore Drilling Program. Earlier in the career, Tom was an Operations EHS Team Lead, where leadership and mentorship were key responsibilities, and worked as an EHS Program Manager at Golder. Tom holds advanced education from Harvard Business School in analytics and leadership, along with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Reclamation and Remediation and a Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from the University of Alberta.
