Patty West

Director, Collab Courses & Events at Sundance Institute

Patty West has extensive experience in the film industry, with a focus on production and directing. Patty currently holds multiple roles at the Sundance Institute, including Director of Collab Courses & Events and Digital Course Director. Prior to their work at the Sundance Institute, Patty was with the American Film Institute, where they served as the Director of Thesis Production and Program Director for the AFI Directing Workshop for Women. Additionally, they have experience as a Founder & Producer at Leeden Media, overseeing the development and production of several feature films. Patty also held positions as a Creative Executive at Carol Baum Productions and as an Assistant at both the Law Offices of Elsa Ramo and Imperial Capital Bank Entertainment Finance.

Patty West holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio/Television/Film from Northwestern University, which they earned between 1999 and 2003. Patty then pursued a Master of Fine Arts in Producing at The American Film Institute from 2004 to 2006. Later, in 2018 to 2020, Patty completed an Executive M.B.A. at Quantic School of Business and Technology. Additionally, in 2019, they participated in Startup School Online.
