Kristen Starr is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in driving technological innovation and accessibility. As the Director of Engineering at Indeed.com since December 2017, Kristen oversees a diverse team focused on improving job accessibility for individuals facing barriers and leads the company's Disability Inclusion/Accessibility strategy. Prior roles at Indeed include Senior Manager and Engineering Manager, where Kristen significantly expanded the Trust & Safety team and integrated data science into engineering processes. Additionally, Kristen is the Founder and Executive Director of Sunday Lunchbox, an initiative aimed at addressing food insecurity among children. With previous positions at notable companies like Elastic, InVisionApp Inc., IBM, and EMC, Kristen holds a Master of Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
