Sylvie Barlos

Sylvie Barlos has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and research. Sylvie most recently served as the Director of Software Engineering at SunFire, Inc., where they were involved in the implementation of agent tools and direct-to-consumer web products. Prior to that, they worked at eHealth Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer for six years. Before that, they were a Principal Software Engineer at both PlanPrescriber, Inc. and Information Resources / IRI Software. Sylvie also has experience in research, having served as a Research Scholar at George Mason University and as a Software Engineer & Lecturer at EDIAT, a subsidiary of SGI-IBM. Sylvie'swork has resulted in publications in the field of knowledge browsing and artificial intelligence. Sylvie has expertise in node.js, JavaScript, CSS, RESTful web services, and AWS.

Sylvie Barlos completed their education with a Master's Degree in Philosophy from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III) from 1986 to 1989. Sylvie further pursued their studies in Computer Science, earning a Master's Degree from IUT2 Grenoble from 1989 to 1990. Finally, they obtained an Engineer's Degree in Computer Science - Artificial Intelligence from Pierre and Marie Curie University from 1990 to 1991.
