Josh Schmidt has a diverse work experience in the electric power industry. Josh started their career in 1997 at Victory Electric Cooperative Association as a Line Crew Chief, where they built, repaired, and maintained electric distribution systems. Josh then progressed to become a Supervisor of Key Accounts, serving as the primary contact for key accounts and providing support to members. In 2018, they joined Sunflower Electric Power Corporation as the Key Accounts Director, responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with members and serving as a liaison between internal staff and stakeholders.
Josh Schmidt attended Pratt Community College from 1997 to 1998, where they participated in the Electrical Power Technology Program. Josh did not obtain a degree during this time. In 2015, they obtained a certification as a Certified Key Accounts Executive from the NRECA institution.
