Dennis Katei

Dennis joined SunFunder in December 2022 as Chief Compliance Officer. He has more than 15 years of experience in Compliance, Legal Advisory and Risk Management practice in the banking, capital markets, and insurance sectors in East Africa. He is specialized in Regulatory Compliance, Enterprise Risk Management, Business Continuity practice, and Anti-Money Laundering practice. Dennis started his career at the Nairobi Securities Exchange before transitioning to banking and investment management where he was the Head of Risk & Compliance for Britam Asset Managers, a leading fund manager in Kenya and East Africa. He later moved to Sanlam Kenya Plc as the Group Head of Enterprise Risk & Compliance.

He is a bachelor of laws graduate from the University of Nairobi, a Certified Compliance Officer (CCO), and an Associate Member of both the Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) and the Institute of Risk Managers (IRM).
