Balu Gowda

Balu Gowda is a Remote Solar Designer at Sungevity International since February 2018, specializing in designing photovoltaic systems for households by utilizing online imagery and tools while coordinating with sales and customer service teams. Previously, Balu completed a Master’s thesis at Delft University of Technology focusing on the aerodynamic effects of canards on blended wing body aircraft, and served as a board member for Aryabhata, bridging aerospace universities in India with TU Delft to promote exchange programs and joint research. Experience also includes working as a Hydrodynamics Engineer for the TU Delft Solar Boat Team, developing solar-powered hydrofoil boats, an Application Architect at IBM providing SAP BASIS consulting, and conducting a Bachelor thesis on fluidic thrust vectoring at National Aerospace Laboratories, Bangalore. Balu holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from BMS Institute of Technology and Management.
