Frank Cumberland has a long and varied work experience. Frank Cumberland began their career in 1985 as a WG-11 Aircraft Electronics & Air Frame Mechanic for the Army National Guard. In 2000, they joined the New Jersey Army National Guard as a GS12 Programmer Analyst & Web Developer, where they built and managed production data processing centers and COOP centers with HP UNIX servers, Windows server, Oracle data base, Microsoft SQL servers, and Web server. Frank Cumberland also built and maintained web applications that let managers make better choices on how to spend federal funds wisely by extracting data and presenting it live in a more user friendly function. In 2004, they became the CSSAMO NCOIC for the NJ Army National Guard. In 2013, they joined Sunhillo Corporation as an Information Technology Network Administrator and Network Engineer.

Frank Cumberland received their Computer Science degree from Westampton VoTech in the years 1983 to 1986. Frank Cumberland then went on to receive a Certificate in Client Server Programming from the Computer Learning Center inc. in 1998 to 1999. In 2012 to 2014, they earned their BS in Computer Science from the University of Arkansas Grantham. Finally, they obtained an MBA in Project Management from the University of Arkansas Grantham in 2017 to 2018.
