Greg Buchanan has worked in the engineering field for over 35 years. Greg began their career in 1985 as a Senior Member Technical Staff at Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories. In 1997, they moved to Sarnoff Corporation as a Member Technical Staff, where they were a digital designer on the ATSC VSB demodulator team and led the implementation team on the Acadia I real-time video processor IC. In 2000, they joined Multilink Technology Corporation (now Vittese) as a Principle Design Engineer, leading a team of 18 design engineers in the implementation of Multilink’s first digital ASIC and architecting Multilink’s first proprietary FEC (SuperFEC). In 2003, they moved to SRI International as a Technical Manager, managing the engineering staff of system architects, algorithm designers, and hardware and software engineers in developing SoCs, FPGAs, and embedded systems to create real-time vision processors for DoD and commercial customers. Since 2015, they have been the Principal Engineer at Sunhillo Corporation.
Greg Buchanan attended LeTourneau University from 1975 to 1979, graduating with a BS in Electrical Engineering with summa cum laude honors. Greg then attended Eastern University from 1989 to 1991, obtaining an MS in Economic Development.
