Chief Scientist at Sunified

Colin Mallett has a diverse and extensive work experience in the ICT/electronics and renewable energy industry. Colin is currently working as the Chief Scientist at Sunified Group, where they advise the company on new developments related to smart solar panels. Before that, Colin founded and served as the CEO of Trusted Renewables Ltd, a private limited company focusing on ICT for renewable energy and IoT projects. Colin also has experience as an Executive Steering Committee Member at CSTF, where they provided technology-related advice to the government. Colin was a Board Member at Smart Homes & Buildings Association (SH&BA), where they worked towards accelerating the adoption of interoperable products and services for smart homes and IoT. Additionally, they have served as the CEO of consulting company Fulvens Ltd, and as a Visiting Industrial Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire, bridging the gap between academia and industry. Prior to that, Colin held various roles at BT, including being a Mobility and e-Commerce Principal Consultant/Chief Researcher and a Telecoms architecture analyst. Colin was also involved in the development of transatlantic undersea optical fiber cable systems at BT and Bell Laboratories. Colin Mallett attended the University of Bath from 1970 to 1974, where they earned a BSc degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. Colin then went on to study at the University of Essex from 1978 to 1980, obtaining an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering. Prior to their university studies, they completed their A levels at Kingsbury High School.
