Matt Potere is the current CEO at Sunlight Financial. Prior to this, they served on the Board of Directors for Queen City Forward from April 2014 to June 2016. Queen City Forward is a hub for entrepreneurs with business ideas that address social needs and work to balance a triple-bottom-line of people, planet and profit. Potere has also held the position of COO/Head of Risk and Marketing Analytics for Swift Financial from December 2006 to July 2010. In this role, they developed a proprietary credit strategy which resulted in a 50% decrease in vintage delinquency rates despite the deteriorating economic climate. Matt also drove direct marketing lead optimization and segmentation models achieving new account targets and decreasing cost-per-account by 30%. As a member of the executive team, they helped raise $50+ million in venture capital and secure a $200+ million credit line facility.

From August 1997 to September 1998, Potere was a Management Development Participant for MBNA America. Matt then went on to serve as the SVP, Home Equity & Auto Products Executive for Bank of America from June 2010 to August 2015. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing product strategies for home equity and auto products across multiple channels. Matt also managed relationships with key stakeholders, including product management, risk management, finance, legal, compliance, and operations.
