Dave Suchanek

Dave Suchanek has over 30 years of experience in quality engineering and supplier management. Dave currently works as a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer at SunMed, where they lead supplier risk assessments, audits suppliers' Quality Management Systems (QMS), establishes quality requirements, and ensures documentation completeness for supplier approval.

Prior to SunMed, Dave worked at Amway for 30 years in various quality engineering roles. Dave was a Senior Engineer responsible for ensuring product design and manufacturing met customer needs. Dave also collaborated with suppliers on quality systems, conducted audits, and led root cause investigations. Dave served as a Principal Engineer for electro-mechanical devices, overseeing new product development and managing customer complaints. Dave also held roles as a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer and a Sr. Scientist, leading quality teams and managing the Global Voice of the Customer program. In addition, Dave worked as a Sr. Scientist in Supplier Quality Development, where they approved, improved, and monitored suppliers, conducted quality audits, and led new product development teams.

Dave Suchanek completed their Bachelor of Science in Physics Engineering with a minor in Math from Eastern Michigan University, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Prior to that, they attended Michigan Technological University from 1985 to 1988 and studied Physics. In terms of additional certifications, Dave obtained the CQA certification from ASQ - World Headquarters in June 2000 and the CQE certification in December 2006.
