David Hsu

Vice President of Supply Chain at SunMed

David Hsu has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. David began their career at Kimberly-Clark in 2001 as a Network/Server Administrator before transitioning to an IT Analyst role. In this position, they served as a project manager and chief systems architect for implementing IBM Omegamon and OVOW enterprise-wide.

After their time at Kimberly-Clark, David moved to various planning-related roles, including an Inventory Replenishment Analyst. David then became a Supply Chain Consultant, managing go-to-market and continuous improvement projects that resulted in top and bottom-line growth.

In 2006, David rejoined Kimberly-Clark as the Associate Director of Asia-Pacific Supply Chain. David provided leadership and managed operations, planning, quality, procurement, and systems teams. David also devised strategies for negotiations, manufacturing efficiencies, working capital, and planning/capacity forecasts.

In 2014, David joined Halyard Health as the Global Strategy Manager. David established the Cost Transformation team and played a lead role in Design for Value (DfV) projects, identifying over $10 million in cost savings. David was then promoted to the Associate Director of Global Supply Chain, where they led various initiatives, including improving service fill rate and reducing global inventories.

In 2018, David joined BD as the Senior Manager of NA Supply Chain Optimization. David held this role until 2020 before moving to Laborie as the Senior Director of SIOP, Planning, and Logistics. David later became the Plant Manager before leaving in 2023.

Currently, David Hsu is the Vice President of Supply Chain at SunMed, a position they have held since June 2023.

David Hsu completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Supply Chain (BPM), Operations, and Computer Information Systems from Indiana University Bloomington, from 1997 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended TAS from 1990 to 1997, though no specific degree or field of study information was provided for this period.
