Lisa Ball, CPA

Lisa Ball, CPA has a diverse work experience. Lisa is currently working as the Senior Director, Assistant Controller at SunMed since June 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Director of FP&A at SunMed from September 2021 to June 2023.

Before joining SunMed, Lisa worked at the Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine as the Assistant Director, Accounting and Controller from April 2020 to September 2021.

Lisa has significant experience at PwC, where they held multiple roles. Lisa was a Manager from July 2018 to April 2020, leading the audit team for a Fortune 500 company in Michigan and handling various technical accounting areas. Lisa also contributed to budget development and project planning. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Associate from June 2015 to April 2020, closely involved in the day-to-day operations of the audit team and various accounting aspects. Additionally, they worked as an Assurance Associate from September 2013 to July 2015, gaining experience in audits of private companies in the software, automotive, manufacturing, and aerospace industries.

Earlier in their career, Lisa worked at Western Michigan University as an Operational Services Assistant from September 2012 to August 2013. Lisa also served as a Climbing Wall Instructor from September 2010 to December 2012 and interned at the Investments and Endowments Department from January 2009 to September 2010.

Lisa gained further experience during their internships at PwC. Lisa was a PCS Audit Intern from June 2012 to August 2012, working on teams providing Assurance services to private companies in the Detroit area. Lisa also interned as a PCS Tax Intern from June 2011 to August 2011, assisting in the preparation of work papers and tax returns for clients.

Early in their career, Lisa worked as a Business Technology Intern at Thomson Reuters from December 2010 to April 2011.

Lisa Ball, CPA has an extensive education history in the field of Accountancy. Lisa completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Accountancy at Western Michigan University - Haworth College of Business from 2008 to 2012. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accountancy at Western Michigan University from 2012 to 2013.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Lisa also holds several certifications. In September 2014, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs. Lisa also completed the programming course, "Programming for Everybody (Getting Started with Python)", from Coursera in April 2020.
