Lang Elliott

President at Sunn Classic Pictures

Lang Elliott is the President of Sunn Classic Pictures and is responsible for the Company’s motion picture, television, distribution planning and operations. Elliott has over 45 years of experience within the entertainment industry and has worked on numerous films, including Soldier of Orange and The Magic of Lassie starring Jimmy Stewart and Mickey Rooney, both of which received Academy Award nominations. Elliott is an original founder of TriStar Pictures, which he sold to Columbia Pictures, HBO and CBS Television in 1982. At that time, Coca-Cola had just purchased Columbia and was seeking additional production companies.

Of the many movies Elliott has produced and distributed some of his favorites are The Prize Fighter, starring Tim Conway and Don Knotts and The Longshot with Academy Award Winning executive producer Mike Nichols (producer/director of The Graduate, Working Girl, etc). Elliott also produced and directed the comedy classic The Private Eyes starring Tim Conway and Don Knotts; and Cage starring Lou Ferrigno and Reb Brown which led to the popularity of televised Cage fighting. Some additional credits include Dorf on Golf and the Dorf home video series with Tim Conway; and a series for the Fox Television Network entitled Boys Will Be Boys starring Matthew Perry. Elliott graduated with a B.S., Masters and PhD. in Finance from Regis University. Elliott is a Viet Nam Veteran and has donated his time to help produce the televised awards production, The American Veterans Award Show (AVA) to benefit Veterans. His is also a proud member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
