Orla Smith

Orla Smith currently serves as the Operations Director for the Tory Trauma Program at Sunnybrook, starting in September 2024. Prior to this role, Orla Smith held significant positions at Unity Health Toronto, including Senior Clinical Program Director for both Emergency Care and ED and Medicine from October 2019 to October 2024. At St. Michael's Hospital, Orla Smith worked from 2008 to October 2019 in various capacities such as Clinical Leader Manager for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, as well as Director of Nursing and Clinical Research. Orla Smith also has experience as a Sessional Instructor at Ryerson University from January 2005 to May 2014 and worked as a salesperson at Sport Swap from 1994 to 2000. Orla Smith holds both a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Toronto.
