Ted Rodriquez

Ted Rodriquez is a 46 year resident of the Sunnyside Unified School District. Ted retired from BHP Copper in 2002 as a Lead Electrician (IBEW Union Member/Representative), worked 1 year at Home Depot, followed by 18-1/2 years at the Town of Sahuarita as a Building Inspector. Ted was the Chief Building Inspector for the Town for over 16 years, retiring February, 2022. Ted has been active in the community for years. Ted was the President and founding member of the El Sol Soccer Club, Volunteer Soccer coach at Sierra Middle School and Sunnyside High School, and football booster club President. Ted’s volunteer resume includes coaching soccer, constructing and installing soccer goals throughout the District, painting graphics, or fund raising for various school programs. Ted served 9 years as a member of the SUSD Bond Advisory Committee which recently completed their assigned task of the allocation of $88 million dollars in Bond funds.
