Pedro Vasconcelos holds an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico (Portugal - 2005), and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD (Singapore/France - 2013).
He is currently a member of EDPR’s Management Team, acting as Chief Operating Officer for APAC region, Executive Chairman of Sunseap (Singapore), and member of the board of Ocean Winds (EDP&ENGIE offshore wind JV). He previously led EDP’s Global M&A and Corporate Development since 2017, after heading up EDPR's Solar Strategy and holding executive roles in both EDP International and in Hydro Global (EDP&CTG JV) as Chief Business Development Officer since 2014.
Having joined EDP in 2007, Pedro Vasconcelos worked in Mergers & Acquisitions until 2009. He later moved to NGEN Partners, a California-based cleantech the US venture capital firm, as a seconded Associate, before returning to Lisbon two years later to become EDP's CEO Chief of Staff until 2013.
