Robert Husain has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Robert is currently working as the Director of Channel & Direct Sales at Sunset Learning Institute since July 2022. Prior to this, they had various roles at Global Knowledge, starting as a Regional Account Manager from October 2018 to July 2019. Robert then became a Key Account Executive - National Account Manager and later a Public Sector Account Executive, managing SLED accounts in the Midwest and Western U.S. with Skillsoft from July 2019 to March 2022.
Before their time at Global Knowledge, Robert worked at the New York State Education Department from April 2014 to October 2017 as a School Administrator - Educational Improvement Services. In this role, they participated in activities to implement the Diagnostic Tool for School and District Effectiveness process, coordinated and attended school and school district visits, facilitated professional development activities, and prepared written materials related to the School and District Review team.
In their early career, Robert worked at Mayfield Junior - Senior High School. Robert served as the Principal from July 2004 to June 2013, where they oversaw curricula, supervised and evaluated faculty and staff, and collaborated to implement curricular program changes. Prior to becoming Principal, they worked as a Social Studies Teacher from November 1993 to June 2004, teaching various high school Social Studies courses, creating and implementing curriculum for Advanced Placement United States History and History of the Holocaust, and working collaboratively in an Inclusion/Consultant teaching model.
Robert Husain completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from SUNY Oneonta from 1985 to 1988. Robert then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Teacher Education and Professional Development, Specific Subject Areas from the University at Albany, SUNY during 1991-1992. Later, in 2001-2003, they obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts. Additionally, in August 2022, they received certification as an AWS Partner: Accreditation (Business) from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
