Mary Ohlwein

Mary Ohlwein is an experienced educator and manager with a background in Spanish language instruction and support for diverse student populations. Since May 2016, Mary has held various roles at the Park District of Highland Park, including Seasonal Manager, Seasonal Supervisor, Swim Instructor, and Lifeguard. In 2023, Mary served as a Student Teacher at Fairview High School, focusing on Spanish for grades 9-12, while also engaging in the "Adelante" program to support first-generation college students. During the previous academic year, Mary worked as a Spanish and Education Tutor at Regis University, where contributions led to improved student performance. Additionally, Mary completed a practicum at Crown Pointe Academy, gaining hands-on experience in a middle school Spanish classroom. Mary Ohlwein earned a Bachelor of Education in Spanish Language Teacher Education from Regis University in 2023.
