David Nelson

David Nelson has extensive experience in information technology and management across various municipalities and educational institutions. Currently serving as the Manager of Information Services at Sunshine Coast Regional District since January 2017, David has previously held roles such as Manager of IT and GIS in the same organization. Notable achievements include serving as Senior Project Manager for the City of Vancouver, where David led significant projects including the Empty Homes Tax policy and enterprise volunteer management implementation. David's earlier roles include managing information technology at the District of North Vancouver and the District of Pitt Meadows, as well as serving as Application Services Manager for the City of Coquitlam. David holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University.
