Laura Lane Taylor has had a diverse work experience in various leadership roles. Laura started their career as the Executive Clerk for Operations and Administration at the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County in 2000 and later became the Inspector General. Laura then transitioned to the non-profit sector, where they served as the Executive Director for Woodlawn Preservation & Investment Corporation/The Fund for Community Redevelopment & Revitalization. Laura'smost recent role was as the Managing Director, Programs at Sunshine Enterprises Chicago, where they empowered under-resourced entrepreneurs.
Laura Lane Taylor attended Lindblom Technical High School from 1980 to 1984. Laura then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations at Lake Forest College from 1984 to 1988. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law from 1990 to 1993, where they obtained their Juris Doctor degree. Additionally, Laura has a certification in Inspector General from The Association of Inspectors General, although the specific date of obtention is not provided.
