Meghan Hughes

Meghan Hughes is an experienced communications and advocacy professional currently serving as Account Director for Public Affairs & Crisis at Sunshine Sachs since October 2021. Previously held the position of Assistant at the New York State Executive Chamber from November 2020 to October 2021. As Advocacy Manager at Success Academy Charter Schools from July 2018 to May 2020, Meghan managed issue-based engagement campaigns for a school system comprising 18,000 students, overseeing digital activism, volunteer management, communications, outreach, and event planning. Meghan contributed as Operations/Dean of Students at Success Academy Charter Schools from June 2013 to June 2016, fostering strong relationships with scholars and families to enhance the school experience. Meghan holds a Master of Education in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education & Human Development from Boston College.
