David Wippich

Co-chairman, Advisory CTO at SunSpear Games

David Wippich has held numerous roles in the technology industry since 1992. David began their career as the COO of TEI, an electronic and mechanical contract manufacturer, where they grew the company from $4 million to $14 million in three years and led ISO 9001 certification. David then moved to Phoenix Technologies / Award Software as VP/GM of the Internet and Embedded Business Unit, where they developed synthesizable cores and firmware for embedded and network devices. In 1999, they became the Executive Vice President of ConnectInc, a B2B NetMarket high volume ecommerce/supply chain company, and helped the Board of Directors turn the company around and sell it. In 2000, they joined Active ISP as President and COO, helping to build the top European web hosting and domain name registrar at the time. In 2002, they became an Advisor and Angel Investor for Wippich et al. From 2006 to 2016, they were the CEO and CTO of Ensim Corporation, a leading provider of end-to-end hyper-scale digital commerce platforms. In 2016, they joined Ingram Micro as SVP and Member of the Management Board, CTO/CPO/CIO/CISO of Ingram Micro Cloud & CloudBlue, where they managed a team of 1000 people to design, deploy, and operate the largest cloud market place in the world. In 2020, they became Co-Chairman, Advisory CTO & Executive Producer of SunSpear Games, a triple-A Battle Strategy Game developer, and Board Member/Partner/Advisor/CTO of Aqqara, where they help startups, turnarounds, and Global 2000 companies and their investors maximize value and return. In 2022, they became Advisory CTO, CPO, CIO of Notified, a cloud-based IR, PR, Webcast, and Events provider.

David Wippich has an educational background in Interdisciplinary Studies from Southern Oregon University, where they studied from 1982 to 1985. David is currently enrolled at Stanford University, where they are pursuing a degree in Technology Management.
