Jamie Merrill has a diverse work experience in the gaming industry. They started their career at Riot Games in 2011, where they initially worked as a QA Technical Developer for over four years. Jamie then transitioned to the role of Associate Software Engineer until February 2018.

In 2018, Jamie joined SunSpear Games as a Technical Lead. They were responsible for evaluating the technical quality of outsourced development, assisting the business development team at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), and working with developers to build and enhance demo technology using Unreal Engine 4. Jamie also wrote technical planning and recommendation documents for a real-time strategy (RTS) game.

During their time at SunSpear Games, Jamie took on the role of Acting Technical Director, leading the technical vision for the game called Immortal. They developed a system to facilitate pre-alpha testing for a community of hundreds worldwide and managed a global team of engineers for the development of Immortal. Additionally, Jamie held responsibilities for the release process of milestone goals and offered support for demo and playtest live services at a smaller scale.

Jamie Merrill received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Comparative Politics from the University of Puget Sound. They attended the university from 2007 to 2011.
