Leah McNeil is a dedicated mental health professional currently serving as a Resident in Counseling at Sunstone Counseling since August 2022, where responsibilities include facilitating counseling for up to 20 clients weekly and conducting consultation calls, risk assessments, and goal setting. Prior experience includes roles as a Graduate Intern in counseling, Keyholder, and Visitor Services Coordinator across various organizations, demonstrating strong skills in client support, community engagement, and leadership. Leah holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Presbyterian College. Areas of expertise encompass self-esteem, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions, supported by a foundation in person-centered theory, feminist therapy, and evidence-based interventions.
