Nick Berning serves as the Managing Director at Sunstone Strategies since February 2024, contributing to the organization's mission of combating fossil fuel pollution and fostering regenerative communities. Previously, Nick held the position of Communications Director at the Green New Deal Network and served in various leadership roles, including Chief Communications Officer and Interim Executive Director, at MoveOn from February 2012 to January 2021. Additional experience includes serving as Communications Director and Press Secretary at Friends of the Earth, and as Communications Specialist at People For the American Way. Nick holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Communications from Macalester College, earned between 1998 and 2002.
