Marina Hernandez, MPH, MA, CHES®, currently serves as a Graduate Assistant and Teaching Fellow at the University at Albany, SUNY, focusing on courses related to culture and Latino studies while facilitating support for graduate students. Previously, Marina held positions as Principal Investigator for the Kansas Department of Health and Environment, conducting key informant interviews and focus groups, and as a Maternal and Child Health Title V Intern at the National MCH Workforce Development Center, where efforts were directed toward fatherhood-focused programs. With a robust background in public health and trauma advocacy, Marina has also served as a Medical Advocate at Sexual Trauma Awareness & Response, providing critical support to survivors of sexual assault. Marina holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Latin American, Caribbean, and US Latinx Studies, an MPH in International Health & Development, and two bachelor's degrees in Community/Public Health and Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Central Oklahoma.
