Michael Elliott

Michael Elliott, PhD, currently serves as the Director of International Student and Scholar Services and Adjunct Professor at the University at Albany since August 2014. In this role, Michael leads a team focused on providing services and programs for international students and scholars while also teaching in various departments related to education, globalization, and leadership policy. Previously, Michael held the position of Director of International Student and Scholar Services at UNC Greensboro from August 2007 to June 2014, and at the University of Denver from 2002 to 2007. Michael began a career in international education as the Assistant Director of International Student Admissions and Advising at the Art Institutes from 1997 to 2002. Michael’s academic credentials include a PhD in Leadership Studies with a concentration in International Education from the University of North Carolina System, an MA in International Affairs, an MEd in Education from Ohio University, and a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a genetics concentration from the University of Colorado Boulder.
